Cheesy Smile and the Wild Animal Park

This week Janey began giving the most awesome of all smiles: the Cheesy Smile. I crack up laughing every time I see it. Especially since it showcases her chubby cheeks so well. She also started spitting ... not as cute, but still funny.

On Tuesday we went to the Wild Animal Park with Tami and Kimber thanks to Tami’s free pass. Yay for free fun. Here is pretty, but fuzzy Tami holding Janey.

Kimber kept standing on different objects asking me to take pictures of her. Too cute to resist.

Here is Janey hanging out with the lions (sorry its a little dark).

And we went to the petting zoo. Janey didn't like the deer very much, but Kimber loved them. This picture was the only one we could get of Kimber at the petting zoo. If she didn't ask to have her picture taken, good luck getting one. Check out Janey's super chub thighs!

Here is Janey's independence asserting itself again. She would much rather be on the outside of her activity gym than inside where it's safe and she can't get into any mischief.

No Longer a Baby

Janey has recently decided that at 7 1/2 months she is no longer a baby. She recently started refusing her bottle and will only drink out of a real cup, which poses a problem when I have to work all day. She has discovered, however, that she enjoys bell peppers.

And blueberries.

And cell phones. Decidedly un-baby-like.

She, fortunately, is still all gums. Here's to hoping she stays a baby a little longer.
And, finally, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Matt! We had fun at your party.

February Nonsense

Janey has started trying to pull herself up to stand (still needs a little help) and would much rather be standing or walking around rather than sitting. Joseph has taken on the role of walker, thank goodness. Janey has also started scooting forward on the ground in addition to the turning in circles, which she has mastered. She isn't, however, all that interested with being on the ground at all.

She loves smiling and socializing and was dubbed the "Ward's baby" on Sunday because she gets passed around so much at church.
Joe is busy applying to Law/MSW school and trying to find another job, if anyone has any leads.

I am working too much at 2 days a week and would much rather be at home with my super smiley baby. I LOVE being a mom.
We are all trying to get over the flu/colds, but still having fun.
