Janey Loves ...

Janey has some major highs and some major lows. The way the last couple weeks have been going, I need to focus on the major highs and remind myself that they exist. SO, Janey loves trampolines.

And snow
And cars

And other kids
ApplesHer bear (which she tossed out of the stroller this morning without me knowing so it is now lost forever)
Birds
"Helping"
Fish (all animals really). This picture is at the manatee exhibit at Sea World where we weighed Janey on the manatee scale (at 23 lbs she does not weigh as much as a manatee).
Samara
She does not love people dressed as fish, but my mom and I loved her and Kimber's reactions
And Janey loves bags/purses.She loves most of all doggies/puppies, which she calls everything. Whenever we see one we have to stop and say hi. I haven't gotten and pictures of her with the dogs because I'm spending my energy making sure one of these strange dogs doesn't decide to make her hand a doggie treat. Don't worry, we ask all the owners for permission first.
Of course she loves her daddy and mommy above all.

How to Entertain a Toddler at Work

I was at my wits end at work today. I was about ready to throw up my hands and quit. Then Janey got into my drawer and got out a full box of paper clips and dumped them out. I sighed and almost started cleaning up, but figured she already made the mess, I might as well let her play with them. I didn't hear a peep for the next 45 minutes. Who knew paper clips could be so much fun. After that I let her take anything she wanted out of the drawer. She proceeded to empty a post it dispenser and all the pens, clips and junk out of the drawer for another half hour of peace. I will gladly clean up that mess for an hour of quiet, actual work.

Here are some other things we did this week.
Enjoyed some delicious waffles and wonderful messages during Sunday's General Conference. And of course played with the puppies. She is not actually chewing on the chew toy.Got rescued by Curtis and Stephanie.
Went to Bates Nut Farm and went on a hay ride.Got sequestered in a pumpkin playpen (Curtis escaped).Got tired and hijacked Curtis's stroller.Went to Sea World with family and friends.

Halloween Spooktacular

Janey and I went to Sea World at about 4:00 today since we had been stuck indoors all day ... needed to get some energy out. So, I threw the monkey on her back (greatest invention ever) and let her lead me through the park. We spent a lot of time looking at this octopus that was dispensing bubbles.
Then we went trick or treating to these stations that were giving all sorts of good loot. Janey mostly liked the blowup containers that held all the loot.Sea World put in new glass walls to view the dolphins swimming. It was very cool being able to see them under the water, so we spent a good portion of our time here.
Then the rest of the time was spent climbing on various objects, picking flowers, following other children around and snacking on the goodies we got. All in all it was good fun and interesting exploring Sea World from Janey's point of view.

Fridge Art

Janey had a bit of a problem at work the other day, so I gave her paper to draw on ... it kept her busy for maybe 5 minutes.
And here is the lovely Kimberlina Ballerina.

Janey's Guide to Being a Working Girl

Sometimes it's just not that easy to get up and ready in the morning for work. No makeup, just throw your clothes on, put your hair in a pony tail and get out the door. In this day and age you've got to keep a stiff upper lip.

The next thing you need is reliable transportation.

The workday can become a real grind, especially if you're particular job requires you to be in out in the heat. It really helps to have a friend in the workplace.

You should also regularly check your equipment to make sure its up to spec. Yep, these need to be replaced.

Its also nice to get paid at the end of the day, day labor has its perks.

And finally, after the long day, nothing beats a nutritious dinner with Dad.
